Charities being Supported by the Lodge
In common with most Lodges, the Master of the lodge (elected each year) chooses a mix of Masonic and Non-Masonic charities to be supported, in addition to regular on-going support to charities chosen by the members of the lodge.
Our Master for the year Oct 2007 - Oct 2008 has chosen the following charities:-
Pilgrims Hospice in Ashford Kent: This is a non-masonic charity which is the principal provider of specialist palliative care in east Kent..
The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution : This is a masonic charity which exists to provide accommodation, especially nursing home care, for Freemasons and their wives or widows.
In addition, the lodge continues to make its regular donations to the following charities:-
The School (St. Olave's Grammar School in Orpington, Kent) : This is in recognition of the special link between the members of the lodge and school.
The London Masonic Charitable Trust : This fund consolidates contributions from more than 1,600 London lodges and supports in particular The Prostate Cancer Charity and Royal National Institute for the Deaf.

Our Master for Oct 2006 - Oct 2007 chose the following charities:-
The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution : This is a masonic charity which exists to provide accommodation, especially nursing home care, for Freemasons and their wives or widows.
The Prostate Cancer Research Centre : This is a masonic charity which exists to provide accommodation, especially nursing home care, for Freemasons and their wives or widows.
Children's Kidney Trust : The only UK charity dedicated to supporting the families of children with kidney problems.
Our Master last year (for Oct 2005 - Oct 2006) chose the following charity:-
British Heart Foundation : Supporting research and patient care in the UK.
Our Master for Oct 2004 - Oct 2005 chose the following charities:-

Take Heart : A charity which raises funds for the Yorkshire Heart Centre and the Cardiac/Thoracic and Children's units within the Leeds General Infirmary.
The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution : This is a masonic charity which exists to provide accommodation, especially nursing home care, for Freemasons and their wives or widows.
Our Master for Oct 2002 - Oct 2003 chose the following charities:-
The New Masonic Samaritan Fund : This is a masonic charity which exists to provide support for sick and infirm Freemasons, their wives, children or dependants, or the widows, children or dependants of deceased Freemasons
Daisy Chain : A part of the Children's Kidney Trust, which has been established as a distinct entity to raise funds for the development of child care relief hospices for children suffering from kidney disease (in particular needing dialysis).
Our Master for Oct 2001 - Oct 2002 chose the following charities:-
The New Masonic Samaritan Fund : This is a masonic charity which exists to provide support for sick and infirm Freemasons, their wives, children or dependants, or the widows, children or dependants of deceased Freemasons

The Meningitis Trust : An internationally recognised charity, the Meningitis Trust leads the fight against meningitis by producing an extensive range of information to raise awareness of the disease, funding research into vaccines and treatment, and offering a wide range of support for people affected by meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia.
